Djawa Furni, a member of DJAWA Management, the first Indonesian wooden furniture manufacturer member of the Sustainable Furniture Council (SFC) USA and we use the locally-sourced natural materials, especially teak obtained from community forests. Here we utilize Life-Cycle Assessment as the best method for analyzing the environmental impact of our products, and a verifiable chain of custody as the only acceptable method for tracking wood now.
We have obtained a verification of Legal Origin (VLO Certificate no. 824 333 08003) and Chain of Custody (CoC Certification no. 824 301 08001) from the international accreditation body TUV Rheinland, and also we have certified by Forest Stewardship Council – FSC (FSC Licence no. FSC™ C041203) which provides a credible link between responsible production and consumption of forest products, enabling consumers and business to make purchasing decisions that benefit people and the environment as well as providing ongoing business value.
We believe that good design can make a positive impact on people and the environment. We are doing our best to live a little greener everyday. We are working with our customer and our suppliers to combat climate change by using sustainable raw materials. We are doing this because it is what we want to do, and it is also the right thing to do. Because we believe it is now the only way to do business.
